How to: Add an Unbound Control to a form.
Solution:
In the Form Design view, make sure the 'Control Wizard' is depressed, select the desired unbound control, and single-click the desired location on the form.
NOTE 1: The 'Developer Tools' must be installed.
NOTE 2: To add a Unbound Control, the form must be in Design view.
1) If the Database window is not active, activate the Database window.
2) Click the 'Forms' tab in the Database window.

3) Select the desired form from the list box. (The selected form is highlighted.)
4) Click 'Design'. (The selected form appears in the Design view and the floating Toolbox appears.)
5) Make sure the 'Control Wizard' located in the 'Toolbox' is depressed.

6) Select the button for the desired unbound control to create from the Toolbox.

7) Click location for the unbound control. (The size of the control defaults to a preset size.)
NOTE: To create an unbound control of a desired size, click the location for the unbound control, press and hold down the mouse button and drag to the desired size.
8) (Optional) To edit the label, do the following:
a) Single click on the label box. (Handles appear around the box.)

b) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Properties'. (The property sheet appears.)

c) Click the 'Format' tab.
d) Type the desired edits in the format box.
e) To close the property sheet, click the 'X' in the upper-right hand corner of the property sheet.

NOTE: The properties will be saved only when the design view is saved.
NOTE: To create several controls of the same type, double-click on the selected tool in the Toolbox to 'lock it'.
